Dave’s Story of Lasting Change

Though Dave attended church events regularly, he was often intoxicated and caused disturbances. The first time he entered our Men’s Home, he was eventually asked to leave because of his disorderly conduct. Back on the streets, his addiction led to several encounters with the law, and even resulted in personal injury.

At the end of his rope, Dave reached out for help again, entering a Network of Hope recovery home for the second time. One step at a time, he followed the guidance of the leaders and his life has since changed drastically. No longer relying on alcohol to deal with pain, Dave gained a positive outlook about his life and its purpose.

Today, Dave is peaceful and brings order to the settings and people around him.  His kind smile can be seen as he helps with church maintenance and drums in the church band. Dave is now the Network of Hope recovery home leader in Braddock, PA, showing other men that lasting change is possible—one step at a time.
