Cindy’s Story of Lasting Change

After a long summer of unemployment, Cindy visited the Network of Hope Food Bank. The Food Bank was hosted in a community church. Cindy went because she was in need, but she was hesitant, concerned that she would be looked down upon.

Instead, Cindy remarks, “I did not know why the manager was so kind to me. But I knew that there was something different about these people. I got a lot more than just food during the several months that I frequented the Food Bank.”

One step at a time, Cindy began to regain what she had been lacking for nearly 30 years – hope. “The Food Bank workers didn’t know me, but they accepted me, saw value in me, and took me under their wing….I’m so grateful for Network of Hope.”
